Carr Properties actively seeks new value added investment opportunities and land for development in the greater Washington area. Our investment team has deep experience working through complex transactions which may include: tax deferral acquisition structures, entity purchases, corporate mergers, and portfolio acquisitions. With over $1.2 billion of acquisition experience in the DC market, we are well positioned to execute new investments, regardless of the complexity, in a seamless manner. Generally, Carr Properties seeks acquisition opportunities valued at more than $10 million. Some examples of the types of investments we are currently seeking follow:
- Existing office and multifamily properties that offer repositioning potential or are currently under leased from a market rent or occupancy perspective
- Redevelopment of existing office or multifamily properties
- Land for development of new office or multifamily properties
- Mezzanine debt and equity joint venture investments in both existing and new development properties
- Portfolio purchases
- Corporate mergers and acquisitions
- Value added hotel, retail and industrial properties, on a case by case basis

Oliver Carr
President
Oliver T. Carr, III is our President and Chief Executive Officer and a member
of Carr Properties’ Board of Directors. Prior to joining Carr
Properties, Mr. Carr served as Chairman and CEO of Columbia Equity
Trust (NYSE:COE), a publicly traded office REIT. Together with his
management team, Mr. Carr formed Columbia Equity Trust and successfully
took the company public through an initial public offering in 2005.
Columbia Equity Trust was formed as the successor entity to Carr
Capital Corporation, a privately held real estate investment company
that Mr. Carr co-founded in 1994. During his career, Mr. Carr has
completed over $1.25 billion of property acquisitions, mergers, joint
ventures and financings. Mr. Carr received his Master of Science in
Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
in 1992 and his Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies, with a concentration
in Economics, from Trinity College in 1987.
Scott Nudelman
Senior Vice President
Scott Nudelman is our Senior Vice President of Acquisitions. Mr. Nudelman is responsible for sourcing and closing new investment opportunities, as well as managing dispositions. Since joining our predecessor company in 2004, Mr. Nudelman has been involved in closing over $1.2 billion of property transactions. Mr. Nudelman has 16 years of real estate experience, including acquisition roles with Grange Partners, LLC, a Bethesda, MD-based operating partner of Blackstone Real Estate Advisors, and Archon Group, LP, a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs. Mr. Nudelman received his Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College.
