Robert O. Carr
Managing Partner – Carr Development
Robert O. Carr serves as Managing Partner of Carr Development. Mr. Carr has over thirty years of executive leadership in the commercial real estate business. Previously, Mr. Carr was President of CarrAmerica Urban Development, CarrAmerica’s development arm for the Washington, D.C. market. In this role, he supervised numerous major downtown development projects, including Terrell Place, 1201 F Street, the Newseum, and the Harmon Center for the Arts. These projects supplement the 40 buildings whose development Mr. Carr oversaw while President and CEO of CarrAmerica’s predecessor company, the private Oliver T. Carr Company. In this role, and later as Chairman of Carr Real Estate Services, Mr. Carr also oversaw leasing, asset management, and property management operations. Mr. Carr received his Bachelor of Arts from Trinity College in 1971.
H. Wyatt Shoaf
Senior Vice President of Development
Wyatt Shoaf is our Senior Vice President of Development. Mr. Shoaf has over 22 years of experience in architecture, commercial office construction and real estate development. Prior to joining Carr Development, Mr. Shoaf was a Vice President at CarrAmerica Development, Inc. where his focus was on the delivery of office building projects in downtown Washington D.C. Mr. Shoaf received his Master of Architecture from Tulane University and a Masters in Business Administration from the College of William and Mary.
Austen Holderness
Director of Development
Austen Holderness serves as Director of Development. Prior to joining Carr Development, he managed development projects at CarrAmerica. Mr. Holderness received a MBA from the Darden School of Business at The University of Virginia. Prior to Darden, he worked in mergers and acquisitions at Lazard. Mr. Holderness is a graduate of the University of North Carolina where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Judy Renfrew
Senior Vice President of Development
Judy serves as Senior Vice President of Carr Development. Judy has over seventeen years of experience in commercial real estate development, acquisitions and architecture. Prior to joining Carr Development, Ms. Renfrew was Vice President and Director of Development for CarrAmerica Urban Development. Her work focus during the past several years has been on downtown, mixed-use development, including the Newseum, and high-end residential development, both condominium and rental. Ms. Renfrew received her Masters in Business Administration from Georgetown University and a Master of Architecture from Carnegie-Mellon.
