Our investment team is experienced with a variety of transaction structures including tax deferred acquisitions, entity purchases, corporate mergers and portfolio transactions.

Generally, Carr Properties seeks acquisition opportunities valued at more than $50 million. Examples of the types of investments we are currently seeking are:

  • Existing stabilized office properties in metro-served locations;
  • Office properties that offer a redevelopment or repositioning opportunity or that are under lease from a market rent or occupancy perspective;
  • Land for development of new office properties; and
  • Portfolio purchases.

Recent developments include 901 K Street, NW and 1700 New York Avenue, NW in Washington, DC, 1701 Duke Street in Alexandria, Virginia and 4500 East West Highway in Bethesda, MD. The company currently has two additional sites available for development in Arlington, Virginia: 2311 Wilson Boulevard and 2025 Clarendon Boulevard. In addition, the company will be redeveloping Midtown Center in Washington, DC (previously known as the Washington Post Site) at 15th and L Streets into a preeminent 875,000 SF mixed use project that will include office and retail space.
