Commercial Observer Names Kaitlyn Rausse Among D.C.’S 25 Most Powerful Real Estate Players for Second Year in a Row

Carr Properties is thrilled to congratulate Kaitlyn Rausse, Vice President of Leasing, whom the Commercial Observer named one of Washington D.C.’s 25 Most Powerful Real Estate Players for the second consecutive year. Under Rausse’s leadership, Carr’s leasing team was able to broker a new lease for real estate financier Walker & Dunlop on a 59,000-square-foot space in Bethesda’s The Wilson. The transaction helped to ensure that the building was 100 percent pre-leased before delivery.

In addition, Rausse secured renewals with both Microsoft (who also expanded their lease) and the law firm of Baker Donelson at Carr’s 901 K Street NW property.

The Observer hailed Rausse’s “straightforward approach” to dealmaking, noting that it “made a lot of sense in a year when a lot of other landlords were grasping for a coherent strategy.”

The acclaim once again reaffirms Rausse’s status as a creative and strategic negotiator who uses her knowledge and expertise of the Washington, D.C, Maryland, and Virginia markets to ensure the highest possible portfolio performance. Her leasing team, working through both Carr Properties’ conventional office spaces and WaveOffice flexible office space, has built and maintained strong customer relationships that enrich the professional landscape in the district.

Congratulations to Kaitlyn Rausse from the entire Carr Properties team on being named one of Washington, D.C.’s 25 Most Powerful Real Estate Players in both 2020 and 2021. Your consistent and tireless work is ensuring that Carr Properties remains a top-flight provider of office space in the nation’s capital.
