Carr Properties & Clark Construction Successfully Construct The Wilson Around Complex Underground Infrastructure

December 15, 2020

Carr Properties’ Vice President of Design and Construction, Alison Wertzler, recently spoke with Bruce Buckley of ENR Mid-Atlantic about overcoming The Wilson’s complex construction challenges through early collaboration efforts with Clark Construction. Carr and Clark worked closely with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, Montgomery County, and other stakeholders to build around the “unforgiving geometries” created by the existing and planned underground infrastructure, of which is to become the future terminus of MTA’s Purple Line and a new tunnel for the multi-use Capital Crescent Trail System. ENR Mid-Atlantic highlights The Wilson’s complex constructability and the coordination it took to overcome it in their latest article.
